With views like these, is it any wonder that we found the Ferme de la Platane enchanting? The magical village of Ansouis, which you can see in the distance, is just a short walk away. The truth is, we drove everywhere. The Ferme became our base for exploring the villages of the Luberon and we returned each evening to a home away from home, it was such a comfortable haven.

Spectacular pictures of a wonderful, welcoming space. We can see that it was a dream come true. I particularly love the cheeses { Did you get them in Aix-en-Provence?} and Bill particularly loves that first landscape.
ReplyDeleteSorry, John, I just happened to be looking at this post and only just now saw your comment. The cheeses were actually left for us by the owners and quite possibly they are from the market in Aix-en-Provence but it could just as well be from Avignon. I'd seen them in quite a few markets. Looking back at these photos (I'm doing a photo essay on Provence), I really do think this was the best vacation we've ever had in all our years of travelling.
